Fuel-Efficient Performance

Fuel efficiency is an important part of selecting a crossover. Therefore, the Ford Escape offers four fuel-efficient engines, including two hybrid options!

The standard Escape engine is the 1.5L EcoBoost® I-3 with 181 horsepower. The peppier of the gas engines is the available 2.0L EcoBoost® I-4 with 250 horsepower. Both EcoBoost® engines have standard Auto Start-Stop Technology, which shuts your engine off when you’re stopped and your foot is on the brake and turns it on again when you’re ready to go.

The hybrid engine options give you roughly the same amount of power but in a plug-in or traditional hybrid version. The 2.5L hybrid and 2.5L plug-in hybrid deliver about 200 horsepower. The traditional hybrid also offers an EPA-estimated 44 city and 37 highway MPG.

Comfort Features

The Escape interior is made for you to stay comfortable while you drive and for your passengers to relax. You can enjoy your choice of seating materials, from standard cloth seating to leather-trimmed options.

On higher-level trims, the available driver’s seat and driver/front passenger sideview mirrors with a memory function help save your driving position even if someone else drives your Escape.

For the occasionally chilly day, the front seats of the Escape can be heated, as can the steering wheel.

The optional dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control system can also help you set the ideal temperature for both you and your front passenger. Two zones mean you get to set two different temperatures.

The available Remote Start System lets you start your crossover from inside your home.

Convenience Features

The Escape comes full of features designed to make your life a bit easier.

If you need space to load luggage or a coffee table, the Escape’s rear seats fold in a 60/40 split. To load everything, you can also use the available hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, which means you only need to swipe your foot under the bumper to open the trunk.

The available rain-sensing windshield wipers turn on once the rain hits your windshield so you can see clearly without fumbling for the wiper blade control.

Inside the Escape, you’ll find an available infotainment system with a voice-activated in-vehicle navigation system. You can get the direction in your Escape. Combine that with the optional Head-Up Display, and you can get directions displayed on your windshield.
