What You’ll Find Under the Hood

Like the other Super Duty trucks in the lineup, the F-250 has three engine options: two gas and one diesel.

The standard gas engine is a 6.2L flex-fuel V8 with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The transmission with this engine is a TorqShift® G 6-speed SelectShift® Automatic.

The other gas engine is an available 7.3L V8, which offers an extra burst of power, hitting 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

The third engine is the diesel, a 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel with a whopping 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

Both available engines work with a different transmission, the TorqShift® 10-speed automatic with up to six selectable drive modes to customize your drives.

Towing and Payload Capacity

Trucks are made to tow large items and haul things in their truck bed. They are tools for getting the job done.

If you’re someone who needs a good amount of payload capacity, the F-250 won’t disappoint. The maximum payload capacity of the F-250 is 4,260 pounds when properly equipped, enough for plenty of equipment, bricks, and even camping gear you might want to bring with you somewhere.

Need to tow construction equipment or multi-car trailers? The F-250 is up to the task with a best-in-subsegment maximum gooseneck towing capacity of 22,800 pounds when properly configured.

Tech Features

Technology is one of the features that makes the F-250 such an impressive truck. Much of the F-250’s tech helps you with work, while some simply help you have a good drive.

One feature that does both is the available SYNC® 4 infotainment system with a 12-inch center screen. Through this system, you can stream music, get directions, and get cloud-based software updates. The available in-vehicle navigation system ensures you don’t get lost and are always on time.

The available Trailer Reverse Guidance system helps you reverse your trailer using cameras in the side view mirrors and visual guides on the center screen. You can see where the trailer is going, and the guidelines change with your steering wheel, so you also know where you’re headed.
