The 2021 Ford Explorer features three rows of seats and room for up to seven people. The second row makes it easy for passengers to get in and out of the back with EZ-Entry 40/20/40 split-folding and reclining seats.

A pair of captain’s chairs are also available to give you a convenient second-row aisle. This makes the third-row seats more accessible while still giving you seating for six.

You’ll also be able to pack everything you need. There’s a large trunk, plus an available hands-free foot-activated liftgate, so you can start loading when you’ve got your hands full. Folding seats come standard in both the second and third rows to help you make room for more, too.

Interior Amenities

The Explorer offers a comfortable ride with lots of amenities. On top of being able to stretch your legs, you’ll be able to kick back and relax with power-adjustable front seats.

To make sure you’re comfortable all year round, heated and ventilated seats are also available. You can set the perfect temperature for your passengers with tri-zone automatic climate control.

Cloth seats come standard, but both leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are also available. Feel free to let some light in with a large twin-panel moonroof or set the mood for your drive with ambient interior lighting.

Technology

The Explorer also keeps you connected with the SYNC® infotainment system. It features a touchscreen that’s compatible with your smartphone. You’ll be able to stream music and make hands-free calls with Bluetooth®, plus use your phone’s apps with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.

A voice-activated navigation system is also available to help you find the fastest route and get turn-by-turn directions. To get a closer look at your route, the touchscreen includes pinch-to-zoom capabilities.

There’s also lots of technology that will help you stay safe. Ford Co-Pilot360™ uses a series of cameras and sensors to help prevent accidents. You’ll be able to see what’s behind your SUV and have more awareness during your drive with technology, such as:

• Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
• Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Cross-Traffic Alert
• Lane-Keeping System
• Rear View Camera

You can even upgrade the Ford Co-Pilot360™ to include parking systems like the available Active Park Assist 2.0. This system is great for parallel parking or perpendicular spots. Just put your vehicle in neutral and activate the Active Park Assist feature. The system does the rest!
