The key difference here is that the F-250 comes standard with a TorqShift® G 6-speed automatic transmission. In the F-350, there is a TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission, which gives you an advantage when towing.

Looking for ultimate power in your pickup truck? Check out the available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine. This powertrain delivers a jaw-dropping 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

The third available powertrain option is a 7.3L V8 engine, which is the most powerful gas engine in the lineup. The 7.3L V8 engine offers 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.


F-250 vs F-350: Towing Capacity

Towing CapacitySo, what kind of work will you mainly be doing with your new Ford Super Duty? If it’s maximum towing power you’re after, the F-350 has the capabilities you’re looking for.

The main difference between the 2022 Ford F-250 and the Ford F-350 is their towing capacity.

You’ll find standard conventional towing features on both the F-250 and F-350 as well as an available gooseneck towing package. Since there are two options for towing, the F-250 and F-350 have different maximum towing metrics.

The 2022 F-350 has a maximum conventional towing capacity of 21,200 pounds, while the F-250 can tow 20,000 pounds when properly equipped.

You’ll find that the maximum gooseneck towing capacity of the F-350 is 35,750 pounds when properly equipped. The F-250 will only tow up to 22,800 pounds when properly configured with the gooseneck package.
