Ford F-150 Maintenance Schedule
10,000 Miles
When your Ford gets to 10,000 miles, there are a few tasks that will need to be performed. These include the changing of the oil and oil filter as well as a tire rotation. Inspections of the following items will also need to take place:
- The engine cooling system hoses and coolant level
- Tire condition and air pressure
- Steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tie-rod ends, drive shaft, and U-joints
- Transmission
- Brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses, and parking brake
- Exhaust system and heat shields
- Half-shaft boots
20,000 Miles
At 20,000 miles, all of the standard 10,000-mile checks are done alongside the replacing of the cabin filter as well as a check of the wheels for any unusual noises, uneven wear and tear, any looseness, and drag.
30,000 Miles
This time around, an oil and oil filter change will be in order as well as an engine air filter change and a tire rotation.
40,000 Miles
Reaching 40,000 miles means your Ford will have its cabin air filter replaced, an oil and oil filter change, and a tire rotation. Apart from all that, the following will be inspected:
- Exhaust system and heat shields
- Engine cooling system coolant level and hoses
- All brake components including brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses, and the parking brake
- The steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tie-rod ends, drive shaft, and U-joints
- Half-shaft boots
50,000 Miles
At the 50,000-mile mark of your Ford maintenance schedule, you can expect all of the standard 10,000-mile maintenance tasks and inspections will be performed.
60,000 Miles
When you get to this point in your Ford model’s lifespan, it’ll be time for a tire rotation, an oil and oil filter change, a cabin air filter change, and an engine air filter change.
70,000 Miles
All the routine 10,000-mile checks will be done at this time.
80,000 Miles
At 80,000 miles, the items to be checked will be the brakes, the engine cooling system, the tires, the exhaust system and heat shields, and the transmission.
