Updated and Redesigned 2023 Ford Super Duty Truck

Since Ford redesigns its lineup every six or seven years, it’s time for a redesigned collection of Super Duty trucks. Fortunately, spy shots reveal that a 2023 Ford Super Duty redesign should go public soon. The Ford F Series pickup truck has new exterior styling, and the odds are good that Ford will include innovative technology, as it has done with the F-150 and other newly updated vehicles.

What the Spy Shots Reveal

When Ford test drives new vehicles before releasing the details to the public, they cover the sheet metal with camouflaging wraps. Fortunately for us, Ford exposed the new front grille and headlights. The Ford Super Duty will have larger-than-life halogen headlights with the classic C-clamp design with centralized amber turn signs accenting a curved grille with a large blue oval in the center. The new front fascia resembles the styling of the Ford Maverick and next-gen Ford Ranger. The bumper features fog lights and tow hooks, suggesting off-road capabilities.

Ford couldn’t cover the new integrated bed step conveniently placed ahead of the passenger-side rear wheel. Other automakers are adding bed steps as the trucks get taller. Ford also appears to be adding a flat hood rather than the channeled one on the 2022 models.

Expected Technology and Power

Several shapes and styles of various Super Duty heavy-duty prototypes have roamed the streets around Detroit. Spies have figured that the 2023 Ford Super Duty will be available with a SuperCrew and SuperCab with standard beds. Spies also think Ford will offer a 2023 model year Platinum trim with a black-out styling package. One Ford Super Duty spy captured an F-450 towing a gooseneck trailer. Other models appear to resemble popular King Ranch and Lariat trims.

Ford Motor Company has not officially launched an updated F-Series Super Duty truck lineup, but many expect the automaker to share details and the release date during Fall 2022. Unfortunately, spies haven’t captured details about powertrain changes, especially anything suggesting a hybrid or fully-electric model. As the prototypes have been completely covered with camouflage, the Ford Super Duty colors are unknown, too.
